Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Academic Operations, and receiving work direction from the Curriculum Services Manager, the Degree Coordinator has final responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the production of the Faculty degree lists. The Degree Coordinator acts as the Faculty resource person to provide advice on all matters relating to the degree list process for students, academic departments and other administrative offices. In addition, the Degree Coordinator is responsible for maintaining individual student exceptions in the academic advisement component of the student system and preparing the Dean's Honour Lists.
This position is the first point of contact on academic support matters within the department for students, prospective students, faculty and staff. This position advises students on academic program planning, course selection, program completion requirements, faculty regulation and policies and procedures. The position also provides program administrative support in areas such as recruitment planning and events, admissions, academic calendars, class lists, convocation and graduation.
