Based in Montreal and Toronto, Deeplite is an AI software company dedicated to enabling AI for everyday life. Deeplite uses AI to automatically make other AI models faster, smaller and more energy efficient creating highly compact, high-performance deep neural networks for deployment on edge devices such as cameras, sensors, drones, phones, and vehicles. At Deeplite, we are tackling model optimization and inference speed-up for AI applications, making them faster and more energy-efficient for constrained edge devices. Our software solution leverages state-of-the-art technology and unique IP to make deep neural networks applicable for any device. Our world class team works hard on the iterative evolution of the science behind deep neural networks to directly improve daily life.

Our team is growing and we\'re looking to hire a Deep Learning Engineer.

Here\'s what you\'ll be doing:

Our platform is in the development phase, and we\'re implementing academic works and our patent portfolio into our technology. In this role, you will be immersed in core concepts of deep neural networks and their low-level implementations, closely follow academic works in the field of deep learning and collaborate and increase productivity on existing research projects.

Here\'s what we need you to bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of deep learning, and experience utilizing theoretical and empirical research to solve real-world problems especially in the field of Computer Vision.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Must have at least 3 years of industry experience with Python, C/C++ coding or other high-level languages.
  • Experience building systems based on machine learning and/or deep learning.
  • An understanding of low-level implementation of neural networks.
Here\'s what is nice to have:
  • Experience with CI/CD and Github
  • Paper publication record in reputed conference like CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, ICCV etc.
  • Experience working with object detection models
  • Experience of compression techniques like Pruning, Quantization etc.
