We are looking for a self-motivated individual that can take concepts through to completion, managing time lines and budgets.

This permanent full-time position for 30 hours/week will be located at two locations: "The Market Garden" (810 Catherine St) and "Sabayons" (1101 Government St). Both locations are in beautiful Victoria, BC.

You must speak, write and read English with native level proficiency.

Wage is $37 / hour, 30 hours / week. Additional perks are $1 per hour worked applied to your in store available credit and 30% off all merchandise.

Main Duties

Basic Plastering:

Clean and prepare surfaces

Mix plaster ingredients in trough to desired consistency

Apply, level, smooth and polish coats of plaster using trowels, floats, brushes

Finish corners and angles

Decorative Plastering:

Cast and polish Scagliola. To mimic various marbles, stones, or even fantastical colors, with deep veining and patterns.

Create decorative plaster molds from silicone

Mix plaster pigments to achieve desired results

Cast decorative plaster pieces

Assemble and install decorative plaster pieces

Tadelakt Technique

Employment Requirements:

Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program in plastering or over five years of relevant work experience
