• Providing oversight of changes in the field during implementation activities in the project portfolio.
• Preparing detailed work packages, technical documents, work scopes, procedures, estimates, and schedules in support of reactor segmentation projects.
• Offering innovative solutions to dismantling and waste management challenges.
• Performing field walk-downs to verify the status of facilities against documented plans.
• Coordinating and monitoring services provided to the team by external suppliers.
• Participating in or leading Pre/Post Job reviews.
• Interfacing with design participants, operations engineers, technical staff, and other subject matter experts to obtain the necessary technical input for project and client requirements.
• Ensuring that deliverables meet the project\'s quality objectives and are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Identifying, assessing, and initiating changes to approved design, work scope, budgets, and schedules following applicable change control processes.
• Travelling to external sites as required to execute the implementation phases of the project effectively.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

• Education

• At a minimum, a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s (Honours) in Engineering or Science from a recognized university or membership in an authorized engineering or scientific professional organization.
• Eligible for Membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
• Experience

• Experience in a nuclear operational or decommissioning environment.
• Experience with decommissioning a nuclear facility is an asset.
• Experienced in dealing with engineering contractors.
• Awareness of the National Building Code, and National Fire Code, and how company program manuals apply to decommissioning.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to think logically through complex problems and work under pressure with conflicting priorities and regulatory requirements.
• High-quality technical writing skills, with the capacity to gather, analyze, and assemble various technical information.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex drawings and specifications in both paper and electronic formats.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and ability to adapt to CNL\xe2\x80\x99s formal document templates and approved forms.
• Experience dealing with engineering contractors and strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members, internal suppliers, operations representatives, external contractors, project stakeholders, CNL management, and client organizations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Results-driven, with the ability to interpret project needs and implement effective solutions.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, guidelines, standards, and codes relevant to the decommissioning process.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply radiation protection principles, measurements, and contamination controls.
• Security Clearance Eligibility Required

• Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat\'s \xe2\x80\x9cStandard on Security Screening\xe2\x80\x9d and the \xe2\x80\x9cPolicy on Government Security.\xe2\x80\x9d

Working Conditions:

• Minimal supervision and self-motivation are required to achieve objectives through deliberate planning and execution of tasks.
• Extended hours may be necessary to meet project milestones.
• Occasional travel to external sites will be required.
• The work environment primarily consists of an office setting, with regular concentration at a computer screen.
• Routine site visits may be necessary, and adherence to all applicable safety protocols and CNL\xe2\x80\x99s radiation protection policies may be required.
