Command and operate ships or vessels to transport passengers and cargo Supervise and co-ordinate activities of deck crews Ensure safety and comfort of passengers Maintain vessel\'s navigational instruments and equipment Control, steer and navigate a vessel in various waterways Record vessel\'s progress, weather and sea conditions in ship\'s log Operate, maintain and repair deck equipment Maintain clean and safe work environment Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems Welding experienceCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Transport Canada Certificate of CompetencySecurity and safety
