This on-call position offers the opportunity to support grieving families by ensuring the respectful and dignified transport of their loved ones. You will play a significant role in serving our local community and rural areas.

Please note you must be located within Red Deer, must have a clear criminal record and be insurable by our commercial insurance.

Position Details:

Role: Decedent Transport Driver Schedule: On-call, 2-3 days per week (flexibility required) Location: Red Deer Paid per call out Start Date: Immediately
Key Responsibilities:

Safely and respectfully transport deceased individuals from various locations to funeral homes, medical facilities, or other destinations. Handle remains with care, dignity, and professionalism. Maintain detailed records and documentation of transport activities. Communicate effectively with funeral directors, medical staff, and families as needed. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications:

Reliable and punctual, with the ability to respond to calls on short notice. Physically strong and capable of lifting and moving deceased individuals with care and proper technique. Caring and compassionate demeanour, with an understanding of the sensitivity of the role. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Professional appearance and attitude. A willingness to learn
