Job Title: Deal Posting/Accounting Clerk

Location: Strickland's Stratford Toyota

Reports to: Office Manager and Controller

Compensation: $21-$23 per hour (based on experience)


Position Overview:

Strickland's Stratford Toyota is seeking a detail-oriented Deal Posting/Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will support daily accounting functions, deal posting, month-end processes, and general office operations while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

### Responsibilities:

Handle deal postings for new, used, fleet, and wholesale transactions. Audit accounts/deal files and resolve discrepancies. Process lien payouts and vehicle floorplan payments on sold vehicles. Process and submit in-house leases and set up pre-authorized payments. Submit in-house leases for funding and follow up on expired insurance. Provide cross coverage for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Assist with processing payments on account through POS terminal. Post journal entries for E-Transfer deposits. Assist with month-end statements and related procedures. Replenish and reconcile cash. Submit warranty remittances (weekly/monthly). Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and document management. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards. Perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned.
### Qualifications:

Previous accounting or clerical experience is a must. Deal posting experience preferred Automotive Dealership experience is required. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
