VINCI School Ottawa is seeking a passionate and dedicated float to join our dynamic team.

*This is a full-time position only

Responsibilities:

When working outside the classroom and in the kitchen;

Responsible for ensuring that children with food allergies receive appropriate food. Prepares snacks for the children in the morning and the afternoon. Prepares lunches for all of the children and delivers them to the classrooms. Responsible for washing and sterilizing the dishes used throughout the day. Stocks the pantry and fridge with items once groceries are delivered. Prepares shopping lists for groceries. Keeps track of pantry inventory. Completes kitchen laundry weekly. Cleans kitchen daily (e.g., counter tops and sweeping). Keep the school clean and tidy
When working in the classroom,

Support the lead educator in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that cater to the needs and interests of children aged 18 months to 3 years. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration. Jointly with the lead educator, keep children safe and healthy, including enforcing classroom rules, changing diapers, cleaning up after meals etc. Engage actively with children during playtime, activities, and routines, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Care for children (diaper change, clean up, etc) Assist in the preparation of materials, resources, and learning aids to support lesson plans and educational activities. Assists classrooms with laundry duties.
Qualifications:

At least one year working in a childcare setting, preschool, or early childhood education program is preferred. Hard working and punctual Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have First Aid and CPR Certification. Clearance of criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening (or willingness to obtain). Must have Food Handlers Certification.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
