Field of Activities



Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and under the direct supervision of the Early Childhood Center Portfolio Chief, the Manager exercises all duties related to the planning, organizing, reporting, supervising and control of the centre's programs and resources. The Manager ensures that the centre operates efficiently, in accordance with the philosophy, policies and objectives established in conjunction with the Board of Directors and within the specifications of the Act Respecting Early Childhood Centers and its regulations. The Manager must have experience in early childhood education; a thorough understanding of child growth and development and of age-appropriate activity programming.

The Manager must also have the ability to build strong positive relationships with parents, children and employees and the ability to train and supervise employees. He/she must have commitment, flexibility and good problem-solving skills.

Prerequisites



1. University Degree in administration. Other related discipline may be considered (An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience could be considered).

2. Two (2) years' experience in program administration.

3. Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

4. Excellent organizational skills.

5. Excellent interpersonal skills.

6. Must have excellent communication skills verbal and written in English and French. Mohawk language is an asset.

7. Must respect confidentiality.

Sous l'autorite du Conseil Mohawk de Kanesatake et la supervision directe du Chef responsable du Centre de la Petite Enfance Tsi Rontswa'ta:khwa, le/la gestionnaire execute toutes les taches reliees a la planification, l'organisation, compte-rendu, la supervision et le controle des programmes et ressources du Centre.

Le/la gestionnaire s'assure que le centre opere efficacement selon la philosophie, les politiques et objectifs etablis conjointement avec le conseil d'administration et selon l'Acte respectant les centres de la petite enfance et ses reglementations. Le/la gestionnaire doit avoir de l'experience en education a la petite enfance; une comprehension approfondie de la croissance et du developpement de l'enfant ainsi que la programmation des activites appropries selon l'age. Le/la gestionnaire doit avoir la capacite de creer de bonnes relations positives avec les parents, les enfants ainsi que les employes et avoir la capacite d'offrir de la formation et de superviser les employes. Il/elle doit etre engage, etre flexible, et avoir les aptitudes a resoudre des problemes.

Pre-requis:



1. Baccalaureat en administration. D'autres disciplines connexes pourraient etre considerees. (Une combinaison d'etudes post-secondaires et d'experience pertinente peut etre consideree).

2. Deux (2) ans d'experience en administration de programme et avoir de l'experience de travail avec les enfants.

3. Experience sur toutes les applications Microsoft Office.

4. Doit posseder des aptitudes organisationnelles; etre flexible et responsable.

5. Bonnes aptittudes en relations interpersonnelles.

6. Excellentes comptetences en communications verbales et ecrites en anglais et en francais. La langue Mohawk est considere un atout.

7. Demontrer un niveau eleve confidentialite.

Periode de Probation:

Une periode de probation de six (6) mois s'appliquera. Suite a la periode de probation une evaluation de performance sera effectuee et si completee avec succes, une confirmation d'emploi sera donnee.
