Heritage daycare is a municipally owned and operated daycare funded and licensed by the Saskatchewan Early Learning and Childcare program. Our licensed childcare centre is located in a newly renovated heritage building in a beautiful green space park in Lashburn, Sk.

Daycare Director

to lead our team and uphold the highest standards of early childhood care and education.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Town Manager and council-parent advisory committee, the Daycare Director will oversee all aspects of centre operations, ensuring compliance, quality programming, team leadership, and strong relationships with families and the community.

Key Duties:

Lead, support, and motivate educators and staff to create a positive, collaborative workplace Ensure compliance with all Saskatchewan child care licensing regulations and health/safety standards Manage daily operations, enrolment, staffing, and parent communications Collaborate with owners and senior leadership on strategic planning and program improvements Maintain records and documentation in accordance with provincial regulations Foster relationships with families and promote an open, welcoming environment Implement and support curriculum aligned with Saskatchewan Early Childhood regulations Familiarity with operating under the licensed/subsidized $10.00 per day regulatory regime

Qualifications

Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification (required) /willingness to achieve level 3 in first year Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting In-depth knowledge of Saskatchewan licensing and early childhood development principles Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and budgeting Current First Aid/CPR and clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector screening

Pay: $28.00-$32.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
