We are currently hiring Daycare Cook to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks in accordance with Canada Food Guide and daycare menu standards Accommodate children's dietary needs, allergies, and cultural or medical restrictions Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with Alberta Health Services regulations Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control Keep kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas clean, sanitized, and organized at all times Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and report supply needs to management Follow portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and reduce food waste Maintain accurate records including menus, allergy lists, and cleaning logs Collaborate with childcare staff to coordinate meal times and special events Properly dispose of food waste and follow recycling/composting procedures Participate in inspections and address any health or safety concerns promptly Follow daycare policies, emergency procedures, and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications:

Valid Food Handling Certificate with Childcare Certification Level 1 is

mandatory

Previous experience working in early childhood education or daycare cook preferred Effective verbal and written communication skills Comfortable with basic computer use for documentation and administrative tasks Excellent time management and organizational abilities
