Overview

We are looking for a

dedicated and caring Cook

to join our daycare team! This role is perfect for someone who loves preparing

healthy, homemade meals from scratch

and takes pride in maintaining a

clean, organized kitchen

. You'll prepare and deliver nutritious meals and snacks for approximately

60-90 children each day

, helping to create a warm, welcoming mealtime experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare

lunch, and two snacks

daily using fresh, wholesome ingredients. Follow

nutritional guidelines

and accommodate allergies and special diets.

Deliver meals to classrooms

safely and on schedule. Maintain a

clean, sanitary kitchen

, including:

Washing dishes

and sanitizing all surfaces daily.

Mopping floors twice a week

(or as needed).

Putting away food and supply orders

and keeping storage organized.

Order food and kitchen supplies weekly and monthly

; manage inventory efficiently. Ensure

safe food handling and storage

following health and safety standards. Work collaboratively with daycare staff to support smooth mealtime routines.

Qualifications:

Experience cooking for large groups (daycare, school, or institutional kitchen preferred).

Food Handler's Certificate

(required). Knowledge of

child nutrition and portion sizes

. Excellent

organization, time management, and cleanliness standards

. Friendly, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a team. Criminal Record Check Child Abuse Registry Check
