Do you have a Class 4 Drivers License or higher with commercial driving experience and are you looking for a steady part-time job, working 2-6 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon as a bus driver? KidzPen wants you on our team!

We are looking for part-time drivers to ensure children are safely transported to and from our childcare centres. If you meet the position requirements and are willing to work before & after school transportation, this may be the opportunity for you to work with a passionate team at our organization.

*This position now qualifies for a Government Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.64-$8.62 premium/ hour) depending on your level of ECE certificate.

Part-Time Hours:

Morning: 7:50 am - 9:00 am and 11:30 am -12:30 pm
Afternoon: 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
School days only, Monday to Friday, no weekends or summer months

What will you do?

As a Bus Driver, you will transport children in our care to and from our childcare centre.

Safely transport school-aged children using a company passenger vehicle

Able to drive morning and afternoon shifts to neighbouring schools located 5-8mins away

Communicate clearly with the centre management and staff

Assist students in getting on and off the vehicle

Obey traffic laws at all time

Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and safe

Perform vehicle safety inspections before and after each route

Other duties as required

You will possess the following:

1+ year of commercial driving experience. School bus driving experience is an asset

Ability to follow instructions and obey traffic laws

Attention to detail and safety is a priority of yours

Qualifications:

Class 4 Full License (non-GDL) with commercial passenger experience

Able to provide Clean Commercial Driver's Abstract

Able to provide a Criminal Record with a Vulnerable Sector Check

Part-time hours: 20 hours per week

Alberta Child Care Certificate would also be good to have as you can get additional funds from the Government.
