Work Hours: Up to 40 hours per week Monday - Friday starting January 12 until September 4, 2026

The Warehouse Lead supports the effective planning and coordination of camp-related inventory, budget activities, and supply distribution across multiple locations. The role provides guidance to volunteers and collaborates with camp leadership to ensure timely preparation and delivery of program materials. This position upholds organizational standards, including Health & Safety practices and operational compliance. The Warehouse Lead maintains a well-organized warehouse environment to enable efficient day-to-day operations. The role contributes to a positive camp experience by supporting staff readiness and ensuring resources are available when needed.


In this role, you will:




Achieve assigned budget by monitoring expenditures, ensuring purchases remain within camp budget, and submitting all invoices weekly for timely processing Organize and maintain the cleanliness and inventory of the Day Camp warehouse Communicate with Camp Directors and Senior Day Camp Coordinators to coordinate supply replenishment and delivery Work with Senior Day Camp Coordinators to pack all program camp kits for camp locations and assist with move-out and move-in processes Assist in supervision of warehouse volunteers Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed and maintained, contributing to the cleaning, safety, and maintenance of camp sites and the office Act as a positive role model for campers and staff by embodying YMCA values, policies, procedures, Day Camp guidelines, and Ontario Camping Association standards Attend all staff trainings and meetings, arriving on time and actively contributing to staff development Perform other duties as assigned

You bring:




Post-secondary education (or currently enrolled) preferred or equivalent experience Minimum 1-year experience in child-oriented programs; Y Day Camps an asset Experience in warehouse or supply management Experience as a supervisor an asset Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs. by bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and in a team environment Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with families, staff, and volunteers Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a group of children Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging
