Join the Township of Wellington North as a

Day Camp Instructor, on a Seasonal Fixed Term Contract,

that will work from approximately June until end of August 2026.

What You'll Do:

Plan, lead and participate in daily program activities (crafts, sports, games, nature walks, swimming, events and more). Keep activities inclusive and adapted to the needs of all campers. Prepare and organize equipment and supplies, reporting shortages to the Pod Leader. Communicate professionally with campers, peers and parents/guardians. Ensure camper safety, enjoyment and supervision at all times. Participate in cleaning duties to maintain a safe indoor/outdoor environment.

What We're Looking For:

Strong communication and customer service skills

Standard First Aid & CPR B or C

HIGH FIVE certification (Principles of Healthy Child Development)

Safe Food Handlers Certificate

Positive, adaptable, child-focused attitude. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening for anyone over 18. Other bonus skills include but not required: previous experience working with youth and a valid drivers license.

Position Details:

This is a

Seasonal Fixed Term Contract

position, that works up to 40 hours per week. Schedule may vary depending on camp registration. Part-time and Full-time positions available.

Typical schedule will be working weekdays anywhere from 7am to 5:30pm. You'll work both indoors and outdoors.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
