Prerequisite: Ele?m?e?n?t?a?r?y? ?s?c?ho?ol t?eacher or at least 1000 ?h?o?u?r?s leading large groups of kids in recreation? professionally?.

We ar?e seeking Camp Coordinators that have, ideally, previously led other camps and staff.

Teac?h?er, lifeguard, ECE, and EA certifications are an asset.

-En?s?u?r?in?g ?everyone's safety, ?wellness, and engagement

-Ensuring ?e?veryone's safety ?in and around the water. We swim almost every day at lakes and ?pools??.

-Col?labor?a?t?ively leading gam?es and activities

?-De?velo?pi?n?g a safe, inclusive, and fun community for all

- Develo?pin?g positive relatio?nships with parents, kids, youth, staff, volunteers, and the com?mun?ity???

?-Ant?icipat??in?g potential challenges and de-escalating and resolving them

?-Col?labo?r?a?ti?ng with the Assistant Camp Coordinator and Camp Director along with Adm?in, C?a?mp ?Leaders, and Volunt?eers?

?-Training? and mentoring staff and? volunteers?

The posit?io?n will be ou?tdoors, l?eading one of our camps?. It is suited for someone with extensive e?xperience and train?ing who will ac?t?? as ?a? ?l?e?a?d?? ?g?u?i?d?e at one of our camps. We are looking? for a calm, col?l?a??b?o?r?a?t?i?v?e?, and respectful?? leader.

Extensive k?nowledge of games? is recommended. A police info check and First Aid certification is required. We see?k and value a diverse and inclusive community.

Out-trips at our Tri-C???ities Camps include White Pine Beach, the Coquitlam River, Spani Pool, Eagle Ridge Pool, Centennial Pool, Crash Crawly's (if there's heavy rain or wildfire smoke), and more. We meet at (or near) the out-tri?p of the day. We have other camps throughout the lower mainland.

Adventure Play Care S?ociety is a non-profit that operates Rainforest Adventure Camps for kids and youth. These camps are outdoors in and around the Tri-cities exploring some of the most beautiful forests, lakes, beaches, and rivers in the area. Our camps seek to further develop participants' independence, leadership, empathy, resilience, and social growth in a fun, saf?e, and peaceful setting. Our programs are child-centred. Our mission is to inspire, empow?er, and create community.
