Join our team

We are searching for a talented candidate to join our team in the role of DataOps Engineer. Reporting to the Manager - Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting solutions to enable business product teams to drive value by realizing Analytics and Machine Learning use cases. This role will support our evolving DataOps landscape by providing analytics capabilities built upon unified scalable platforms, advanced AI tooling, improved speed to market, and automation. This role will require the successful candidate to design, develop, and support our evolving strategy, data, and analytics tools as well as provide strong direction for our Cloud based Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms.

Here\'s How:

  • Collaborating with Business and Product teams to enable valuable Analytics and Machine Learning use cases
  • Implementing DataOps and MLOps processes and automations using the latest tools to effectively operationalize Analytics and AI workflows
  • Deploying and managing front-ends and APIs to facilitate teams\' infrastructure needs for Data Analytics and Machine Learning
  • Staying up to date of new software, tools, and organizations that are having an impact on the Analytics and Machine Learning landscape
  • Provisioning infrastructure and secure, reliable data-centric services and applications in GCP for Data & Analytics users across the TELUS enterprise
  • Identify opportunities to make improvements to the deployment and support of our DataOps environment demonstrating a DevOps mindset while improving our reliability and speed to market
Qualifications

You\'re the missing piece of the puzzle
  • You are passionate about Agile culture and DevOps practices
  • Your have a keen interest in Data Analytics and Machine Learning, and are familiar with the Machine Learning lifecycle
  • Experience with the data offerings in Google Cloud Platform (e.g. BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Vertex AI)
  • You have experience with front-end development, back-end development, or customizing developer portals (e.g. Backstage)
  • You have experience in implementing CI/CD processes and integrating source code version control (e.g. GitHub) with automated workflows
  • You have hands on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi) and the Python programming language
  • You can communicate clearly and effectively in both technical and business matters
  • You can pivot between supporting the urgent needs of the business and working on strategic initiatives
  • You have experience working on and supporting large, complex technical projects that involve multiple stakeholders and business units
Great-to-haves:
  • Undergrad in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or equivalent
  • 1+ years of progressive and relevant work experience with data/analytics platforms, DevOps, machine learning, and/or Developer Portals (e.g. Backstage)
  • GCP Professional Certification
Salary Range: $74,000-$110,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
