Summary



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database System Project Consultant to lead the development and implementation of a new, organization-wide database system using Microsoft Dynamics 365. This project will consolidate five legacy systems and integrate multiple departmental data sources into one scalable and efficient solution.

The consultant will manage all phases of the project - from planning to implementation--while working closely with internal teams and an external software vendor. This is a part-time contract position for up to 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and manage a detailed project plan and timeline for the database system implementation. Act as the primary liaison with the selected software vendor to ensure effective communication and information sharing. Collaborate with internal teams to gather system requirements and ensure alignment with organizational needs. Conduct data mapping, system audits, and gap analyses to inform integration and migration strategies. Assist departments in documenting and improving existing workflows for incorporation into the new system. Coordinate with internal IT to ensure infrastructure compatibility and support. Monitor project progress, flag risks, and adjust plans as necessary to meet deliverables. Oversee data migration, validation, and user acceptance testing. Support user training and change management strategies to ensure successful system adoption. Provide post-implementation support, including performance monitoring and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications



Proven experience managing complex database or ERP implementation projects (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred). Strong understanding of system integration, data mapping, migration, and architecture. Ability to work across departments and with diverse stakeholders. Solid project management skills including timeline tracking, budgeting, and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams. Knowledge of change management, user training, and system adoption strategies.
