We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Database Operations Advisor to join our organization on a 1-year contract basis. The Database Operations Advisor oversees and maintains the two data warehouses of the Data and Analytics department, Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Snowflake. Since both are extremely important to the Analytics community, it is essential that they operate at optimal levels at all times. In this job opportunity, you will be primarily responsible for supporting Oracle EDW\'s infrastructure and daily operations. During your tenure at the company, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior advisors, database administrators, analysts, and the governance department, which will provide you with invaluable learning experiences. Through this hands-on experience, you will develop practical skills that will greatly enhance your expertise in Oracle database systems.

Description:

As a Database Operations Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, accessibility, and security of the department\'s data warehouses. Your primary role will involve performance monitoring, and maintaining database systems, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise. You should be an expert in identifying and resolving database issues and performance bottlenecks. The Database Operation advisor is also responsible for creating schemas, resetting users\' passwords, granting access to data assets, assisting with connection issues, and overall access management. Users will likewise contact you for technical support, system standard guidance, and best practices consultation. DOS advisor will help assist with capacity planning and infrastructure growth projections. All processes and database architecture documentation will also be maintained.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. Computer Science, B.S. Information Technology, Degree in any applicable computer-related field. With SQL and PL/SQL programming training and/or certificate. Proven work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator or similar related duties. Experience in database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner. Experience working in Linux servers. Additional Required Qualifications:

At least 1-3 years\' experience in database or similar application management and administration. PL/SQL programming proficient and able to rewrite codes to enhance performance. Good understanding of database architecture, some familiarity with Unix shell scripts, and knowledge of database optimization features or techniques. Excellent customer service and team player. Effective written and verbal communication. Must be able to handle fast paced and multi-tasking tasks. Preferred Qualifications:
