Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients growing data science team in a business that is disrupting the industry. In this role, you will focus on developing machine learning models to deliver their product roadmap.
What you will be doing:
Develop a range of machine learning models via the full lifecycle process {business understanding, feature engineering, prototyping, training, evaluation}
Work with the engineering team to deploy accepted models
Create presentations that tell the story of these models, utilizing visualizations
Work collaboratively with the engineering, platform, product, and wider business teams
Work within a DataOps framework
What you must have:
You are comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity and can demonstrate the ability to change and adapt as our business scales
You have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or similar (Masters or Ph.D. an advantage)
You have a strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning
Strong experience in developing ML models in Python
Experience in developing ML models in a fully Spark environment is an advantage
Experience in PySpark is an advantage (but its a great opportunity to learn if not)
Experience in using version control software (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps, etc.) is an advantage
Experience in IDE-based (as opposed to notebook-based) development is an advantage
You are structured in code development and annotation, ensuring usability for others
You have sound interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with others
You have excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills, with a well-structured and analytical approach
You are highly commercially aware, particularly in prioritizing time
Salary/Rate Range: $125,000 $150,000
