We are seeking a skilled Data Science Analyst to join our team and contribute to the advancement of our analytics and machine learning capabilities at Sobeys. As a key player in our organization, you will be instrumental in the research, development, and deployment of machine learning models, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.

Here\'s where you\'ll be focusing:

• Research, build, train, serve, and monitor machine learning models to enhance our analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to create and manage end-to-end ML pipelines in an Azure cloud development environment.
• Produce production-ready code, undergo code reviews, and contribute to the code reviews of team members.
• Partner with Machine Learning Engineers to scale, automate, and optimize ML pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to perform ETL tasks in a big data environment comprising billions of rows of retail data, covering various banners, regions, and millions of customers.
• Engage closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions using machine learning or other advanced analytics/predictive modeling techniques.
• Work with the Business Intelligence team to design dashboards that monitor the performance of ML systems.

What you have to offer:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience manipulating large datasets using SQL.
• Experience in developing end-to-end machine-learning algorithms in a Spark environment.
• Strong understanding of various ML concepts, including general linear models, time series analysis, cluster analysis, random forest, neural nets, etc.
• Proficiency in Python and adherence to coding best practices in git, such as Pull Requests.
• Experience working with visualization tools, such as Tableau or Google Data Studio (6 months +).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to create and manage ML pipelines with minimal guidance.
• Experience with Cloud Environments, specifically Databricks and Azure, is an asset.
• Experience in a retail or similar environment is considered an asset.
