Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the IT Lead Business Analyst position in Global Spread Products Technology (GSP) organization. Global Spread Products (GSP) is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets. GSP\xe2\x80\x99s activities include origination, structuring, investing, lending, and market making and it offers a variety of products including, but not limited to, corporate bonds, emerging markets bonds, asset backed securities, mortgage backed securities, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), municipal securities, agency securities, short term interest rate products, loans, letters of credit, and derivative instruments, such as interest rate swaps, total return swaps, rate locks, and credit default swaps.
The IT Lead Business Analyst is a position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to Data and Reporting team to provide risk and control with respect to multiple business lines and provide other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
This individual\xe2\x80\x99s primary area of focus will be for GSP\xe2\x80\x99s Data and Reporting team, where they will partner closely with our application development, product management and business teams to manage our book of work and help drive our technology and reporting deliverables. The business analyst will also work closely with front office users to capture business requirements especially related to critical reports which drive competitive advantage and enable our business to deliver promised changes to regulators.
Responsibilities:
Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple teams and other units to meet organizational objectives especially related to reports.
Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of scope, objectives and system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects and reports.
Evaluate evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate enhancements.
Work with global BA and Dev teams to perform data analysis. Basic knowledge of data modeling is necessary.
Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence functional decisions.
Collaborate with developers to translate business requirements into technically feasible and efficient solutions and transition requirements to QA team and assist in test scenario development.
Oversee project deliveries to ensure they remain on track and communicate risks and impacts.
Propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of technology, timelines, resources and regulatory requirements.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience
Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships.
Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with diligence.
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master\'s degree preferred.
