Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeler to join our AI, Data Analytics team.
As an AI Data Modeler, you will play a strategic role in designing and implementing data-driven business models that support health-centric programs and pharmacy operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable data models, leveraging modern data architecture principles, and contribute to the development of both commercial and internal data products.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models to support analytics, reporting, and data product development for pharmacy services, and other health initiatives.
• Build and maintain scalable, efficient data models, aligned with business logic, data governance, and compliance standards.
• Apply the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) to structure and optimize data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams and BI analysts to define data requirements, translate business requirements into scalable data structures, and ensure model performance and scalability.
• Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models using industry-standard data modeling tools and query languages.
• Develop and manage semantic layers and data marts to support self-service analytics and business intelligence.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data models align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development of internal and commercial data products that support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or data engineering
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, including data lakes and data warehouses, with hands-on expertise in data modeling and transformation using SQL and similar tools.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Proficiency with AI, particularly Copilot and ChatGPT, to enhance efficiency as a data modeler.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modeling
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Familiarity working with ETL/ELT pipelines and collaborating with data engineering teams.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry - an asset
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and orchestration tools.
