The position at a glance

BNP Paribas\xe2\x80\x99 Data Office organization was formed to establish and maintain a robust governance infrastructure including policies, standards, processes and technology required to ensure the availability, accessibility, quality and consistency of data across the platform. The organization is structured around 5 functions: Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Solutions and Data Privacy.

In detail

  • Work on production and collaborate on cross-functional projects that have an impact on our stakeholders. The role may require data analysis, reporting, performing data quality assurance activities, data governance and data compliance.
  • Depending on the team assignments, contribute to diverse production processes such as incidents management, quality measurements, data cleansing, data preparation, collecting metadata and lineage, etc.
  • Collaborate on projects collecting and analyzing requirements, contribute to provide solutions and implementation.
  • Contribute to Metadata Tool and participate in Data Flow and Data Lineage production and review for Key Data Elements
  • Collaborate with Data Community to perform diverse tasks related to Data Quality & Metadata Management
  • Collaborate in Data Privacy processes as needed
Qualifications

Eligibility: * Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Canadian post-secondary program
  • Must be able to work in the local premises
  • Be 18 and over
  • Have at least one more semester left after completion of internship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in IT, Finance, or Engineering, with a graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025
  • The candidate should be a proficient communicator, able to influence, summarize and think on their feet.
  • The candidate will face new problems on a daily basis. They will need to be able to analyze the causes, impacts, solutions, and issue recommendations that work for all their stakeholders.
  • The candidate will be supporting internal data clients. The candidate will prioritize clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements while maximizing their satisfaction.
  • Work autonomously and possess a strong sense of initiative
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
