Reporting to the Director, Digital Data Analytics & Performance, the Data Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable digital data pipelines that support the eCommerce and digital product teams. This role will empower stakeholders with actionable insights, improve the digital customer experience, and ensure high-quality data flows across digital and offline channels. If you are a problem solver with a strong technical background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and analytics, this role is for you.What you'll do:

• Data Engineering & Pipeline Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support sales, service, and eCommerce analytics.
• Build automated jobs to merge complex datasets from both online and offline sources, supporting key business initiatives.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support error tracking across all eCommerce flows, ensuring seamless data provisioning.
• Data Analytics & Business Intelligence:

• Leverage data to drive action-based recommendations for sales, service, and digital product teams.
• Support eCommerce and product teams by building datasets that enhance digital experiences.
• Deliver end-to-end analytics projectsxe2x80x94from gathering stakeholder requirements to data transformation, statistical model development, and dashboard visualization.
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to answer specific business questions and support ongoing projects.
• Customer Journey Analysis & Insights:

• Navigate multiple data sources to analyze customer journeys, from initial traffic sources to final sale.
• Establish clear insights into customer behavior, improving digital experience and business outcomes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate online and offline data, ensuring a holistic view of user interactions.
• Data Governance & Cloud Integration:

• Collaborate with Data Governance and Cloud Engineering teams to acquire, manage, and secure new data sources.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security in compliance with best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
• Innovation and Trends:

• Stay ahead of emerging trends in data engineering, including advancements in real-time data processing, AI-driven analytics, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experiment with new technologies, automation tools, and machine learning models to enhance data pipelines and drive efficiency.
• Explore modern data integration techniques, such as event-driven architectures and streaming data solutions, to improve real-time insights.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, keeping the team informed on best practices, industry innovations, and evolving business needs.

What you bring:

• +3 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or data science.
• Expertise in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data processing frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL best practices.
• Knowledge of data governance and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with digital (web/app) or eCommerce data is an asset.
• Prior experience working with enterprise-level IT teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
