As our

Data Engineer

, you'll prepare, build, and optimize data for operational and analytical use across the organization. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions in both on-premise and cloud environments, while ensuring data quality, availability, integrity, governance, and security.

DIVE IN AND MAKE A SPLASH EVERY DAY BY:




Assisting with the development of processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources Collaborating on the design, development, and optimization of data models across diverse data sources Supporting and maintaining data governance standards, best practices, and security measures Helping implement and sustain Sandbox's business intelligence framework Ensuring data integrity through effective data cleansing and validation practices Adhering to established data engineering and data modeling standards and procedures Translating business requirements into clear technical specifications (data streams, integrations, databases, and warehouses) Collaborating with business, technology, and analytics stakeholders to recommend innovative, data-driven solutions Supporting the rollout of self-serve data and automation technologies Developing dashboards, visualizations, and templates that promote insights everywhere Acting as a key resource on business intelligence and analytics initiatives Partnering with IT to implement system improvements and efficiencies Pitching in on additional projects and duties as needed Being a role model who supports and contributes to a positive organizational culture



WHAT YOU BRING TO SANDBOX:




Education Matters:

A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field (Math, Statistics), or a Business Analysis certificate (CBAP or similar) with an approved degree or diploma

Experience Counts:

At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in data, analytics, or a related discipline

Tech-Savvy:

Experience with cloud technologies, data lakes, ETL processes, SQL, relational and NoSQL data modeling

Database Pro:

Strong foundation in Microsoft SQL Server (PostgreSQL experience is a bonus!)

Visualization Whiz:

Experience with Power BI and Tableau

Big-Picture Thinker:

Solid understanding of database platforms, data integration, and transformation

Analytical Ace:

Strong problem-solving, interpretive, and critical-thinking skills

Clear Communicator:

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Self-Starter:

Highly motivated, organized, and able to juggle priorities with confidence

Detail Detective:

High attention to accuracy, quality, and detail

Collaborative Spirit:

Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions while working with diverse teams
