Job Description

Stratergic Resources International is seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in evolving our data architecture, data modelling and analytics. The role requires expertise in establishing reliable data pipelines, processing data, and preparing it for analytics. Furthermore, the Data Engineer will participate in the creation of new data-driven approaches and technologies, pushing the limits of existing solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Design, construct, install, test and maintain large scale and highly resilient data management systems.
• Develop and maintain architectural strategies for data modelling, design and implementation to meet stated requirements for metadata management and operational data stores.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Exploring new ways of processing, storing and utilizing raw data.
• Effectively collaborate with data scientists and architects to implement more effective solutions.
• Perform regular system assessments and data audits to ensure data integrity is upheld.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role in data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
• Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work within a team environment.
