Purpose

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our team and help us develop and maintain various software products. As a data engineer/developer in Data Management, AML/ATF Models and Analytics team, you will contribute to building a better way to approach banking data for AML/ATF purposes by leveraging your engineering, analytical and communication skills to work with different business partners across the whole bank. This role will also involve the development of a web application and data design in a Python framework.

Accountabilities

  • Deep dive into banking data, perform data profiling and analysis to determine better dimensional/hierarchical data for AML/ATF model and analytics.
  • Design highly efficient backend data mart to support frontend application
  • Develop python-based web application to support AML requirements
  • Work with technology partners such as the bank private cloud teams to build up and maintain cloud infrastructure
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships by leveraging broader Bank systems and product knowledge
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of the respective fields, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Education/Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Experienced in using Python web application frameworks, like Dash, Flask, etc.
  • Familiarity with development within Linux environment
  • Strong knowledge of data lifecycle for customer, account, and transactional data
  • Strong and effective communication skills for managing expectations with diverse groups for stakeholders
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML preferred
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields
  • AML knowledge or banking knowledge is an asset
