About the Role:



We are looking for a life-long learner who will work with a diverse product team and help create the future by producing innovative software applications and standard reference databases for spectroscopy. These products are used in academic, corporate, and government settings.


The Data Editor will work with subject matter experts, technical staff, sales, support, and marketing staff to develop and manage scientific workflow databases for use in research laboratory and applied field environments. You will work independently and as a member of a small, agile, geographically diverse team. You will work on multiple projects to help develop products for use in advanced technology environments.


How you will make an impact:



Collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate and normalize data to be staged for further evaluation by the editorial team and subject matter experts. Participate with editors and subject matter experts to progress and optimize data evaluation and work with team on potential new tools. Evaluate and analyze experimental data.

What we look for:



BSc, PhD or equivalent in molecular sciences (life science, chemistry), analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, physics, or related fields. Minor in mathematics or statistics is a plus. Prior analytical lab experience in chemistry or material science. Knowledge and experience in analytical chemistry is required. Prior experience with data manipulation or business analytics. Familiarity with Python (e.g., Pandas) and R. Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or other Agile tools/methodologies is a plus. Team player with a self-starter mindset.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
