Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for One Full-time Position, 40-hours-per-week, Data Development Specialist to join our head office in Edmonton, AB.



Job Summary



The Data Development Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's donor database to support fundraising activities. This role ensures data accuracy, produces reports, and provides support for campaigns, donor communications, and events. The specialist plays a key role in maximizing fundraising potential through effective data management.



Job Responsibilities:



Database Management

Oversee daily operations of the fundraising database. Maintain donor records and ensure data integrity. Segment donor lists for targeted outreach. Conduct regular data clean-up and quality control.

Gift Processing

Accurately process donations and issue tax receipts. Communicate with donors to complete transactions. Prepare donor correspondence and acknowledgements.

Data Reporting & Analysis

Generate reports on donor trends and campaign performance. Reconcile data with the finance department monthly and annually. Support fundraising strategy with data insights and dashboards.

Campaign & Event Support

Provide data support for fundraising campaigns and events. Track donations and pledges. Collaborate with the DCR team on event invite lists and tracking donations received.

Training & Documentation

Train staff/volunteers in database use and best practices. Maintain electronic documentation and donor files.

Compliance & Confidentiality

Ensure compliance with data protection laws. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security policies.

Other Duties

Contribute to overall fundraising strategy. Support other initiatives and participate in organizational activities.

What This Job Requires:



Bachelor's degree or certificate in a related field. 2-3 years working with fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce). Experience in data analysis, reporting, and gift processing. Familiarity with donor lifecycle and fundraising strategies. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in database software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively. A clear Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate
