Job Description


Job Role:As a Data Architect, you will build distributed data processing solution and highly loaded database solutions for various cases including reporting, product analytics, marketing optimization and financial reporting. Manage a team of experienced data engineers working on the foundation for decision-making at a company dealing with billions of events per day. Contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in an exciting, innovative environment for our client.Investigate, build, and implement the solutions for existing technical challenges. Provide mentorship, instruction, direction, leadership to a development team with the purpose of achieving project goals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the work of direct subordinates.
  • Ensures effective communication between all partners related to team\xe2\x80\x99s area of responsibility and deliveries.
  • Ensure high quality development standards (unit/integration tests, etc.).
  • Makes team to work according to development process established on the project/within the team to take end-to-end ownership on their AOR and tasks.
  • Reports about area readiness/quality and raises red flags in crisis situations beyond their AOR.
  • Responsible for resolving crisis situations within their AOR.
  • Participates in software development implementation work.
  • Prepares functional and design specifications of computer-based systems.
  • Ensures the project team is provided with all required technical tools for efficient project delivery.
  • Responsible for reviewing delivery achievement and mentoring more junior team member.
  • Oversees and evaluates team members\xe2\x80\x99 performance according to established procedures;
  • Collaborating with non-technical business users.
  • Designing data infrastructure and working on its continuous improvement.
  • Adhering to security and regulatory compliance norms & defining data governance policies.
Required Skills:
  • Required minimum 12 Years\' of experience in Data Engineering Field with 8+ Years of experience as Data Architect.
  • Must have deep knowledge of data management tools and frameworks, must have intimately familiar with an extensive range of data-related technologies such as SQL/NoSQL databases, ETL/ELT tools,
  • Must have a data architect\xe2\x80\x99s experience with popular tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Should be familiar with Metadata management skills.
  • Understanding of programming languages like Python, Scala and Java and should be able to write code as required.
  • Java, Python, Standard query language (SQL): It is used to access and manipulate relational database information, Scala: This language is used by Apache Spark, Kafka.
  • Should have ability to create data models and Must have experience in ETL orchestration and workflow management tools like Airflow, or Oozie.
  • Experience in Spark, Snowflake & Databricks.
  • Proficient in Database fundamentals, SQL and distributed computing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills!
  • 5+ years of proven experience leading other Engineers.
Good to have:
  • Experience in AWS (EC2/S2/IAM)
