Data and AI Industry Analytics Associate Director - Insurance

Location: Toronto, ON

You are: As an Industry Lead in our practice, you will help shape and sell industry specific programs in the Insurance domain, including definition of the analytics/AI vision and strategies, redefine operating model and talent strategy, and help guide clients through their data, analytics and AI journeys to deliver sustainable business value. You will act as the business architect for our most transformative opportunities, enabling an end-to-end data-driven journey by bringing the best of our Accenture Data & AI organization. You will also play a key role on the leadership team \xe2\x80\x93 building a practice, assets, and thought leadership.

The work:

1. Support Data & AI Consulting activities:

\xc2\xb7 Lead complex analytics transformation projects in the insurance sector, from defining the strategy, operating model, value targeting, proof of value and change management to enabling data, analytics and AI capabilities and outcomes.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with various Accenture teams to bring the right experience, skills, and talent to our clients.

\xc2\xb7 Work with our Canadian Innovation Hub and Data & AI Centre of Excellences to plan and define immersion sessions in core analytic and digital capabilities specific to client needs.

2. Sales Origination & Business Development

\xc2\xb7 Lead a \xe2\x80\x9cpod\xe2\x80\x9d of Data & AI leaders to drive new business opportunities focused on Data & AI use and adoption in Insurance (e.g., P&C, Life, Disability, Individual & Group Benefits, Wealth Management)

\xc2\xb7 Educate internal Accenture stakeholders about our Data & AI offerings and applicability to their industry/clients.

\xc2\xb7 Facilitate the development of \xe2\x80\x9crequest for proposals\xe2\x80\x9d responses and contract development.

\xc2\xb7 Lead the development of businesses cases for further project sales as determined by the practice.

3. Practice & Offering Management

\xc2\xb7 Shape assets to accelerate sales and delivery.

\xc2\xb7 Drive the analytics innovation agenda, including publishable thought leadership.

\xc2\xb7 Play an active role building a practice including identifying and nurturing talent to help build future leaders by actively participating in recruiting, workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.

Here\xe2\x80\x99s what you need to have:

1.Industry Experience:

\xc2\xb7 15+ years of consulting experience or relevant industry experience with proven track record of making significant client impact and value creation.

\xc2\xb7 Industry and/or industry domain specific experience in insurance sector, delivering data-driven capabilities and solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Experience in designing and utilizing analytics solutions in enterprise-wide organizations.

2. Client Relationship Management:

\xc2\xb7 Superior understanding of how to manage client relationship, deliver analytics value, and influence senior clients to define and expand data-driven strategies into new applications and markets

\xc2\xb7 Experience interacting with clients or executives of all levels to review expected outputs, applicability to business challenges, and value measurement. Relevant experience could include one or more of the following functional domain areas across the Insurance industry:

o Insurance product development \xe2\x80\x93 sales and distribution

o Credit and risk modelling in underwriting

o Wealth and Asset Management

o Claims and fraud management

o Marketing and customer experience

3.Professional Skills

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a quantitative field like statistics/econometrics/mathematics/engineering/computer science

\xc2\xb7 Ability to travel and work in Canada.

\xc2\xb7 Exceptional presentation skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to convey technology and business value propositions.

\xc2\xb7 Leadership experience with teams working across multiple geographies.

Bonus points if:

\xc2\xb7 Strong data and AI use case creation and execution within a business and technology context

\xc2\xb7 Strong data management and data governance background

\xc2\xb7 Strong cloud background in delivering data-driven solutions on Azure, AWS and/or GCP.

\xc2\xb7 Well versed with leading analytics techniques and confident about how to apply them to generate insights and recommendations.

\xc2\xb7 Experience guiding the data formulation process and exploratory data analysis.

\xc2\xb7 Evidence of thought leadership in defining innovative analytics within multiple complex applications spanning marketing, risk, and cost reduction

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of leading core insurance platforms across sectors, such as: Guidewire, Duck Creek, Vitech, Majesco
