Data Analytics Engineer II

As a Data Analytics Engineer II your role is to deliver high quality data warehousing solutions that meet the requirements of various business and analytical teams across the enterprise. Your role will also entail building these solutions iteratively and when required translating advanced technical issues into understandable terms for our stakeholders. You will have opportunities to mentor junior engineers to solve standard and complex problems and in technical skill development. Also being an influencer at the director level to help craft the vision for our data analytics platforms.

As a Data Analytics Engineer II you will...

Delivering Solutions

Uses best practices and knowledge of issues to improve processes, designs, or services. Solves complex problems and leads or significantly contributes to the resolution of technical challenges facing the team.

Partner with Technology leaders to provide inputs to the company's data engineering roadmap.

Continuously optimizing for performance, scalability, and ease of use across the companies analytics platforms and pipelines.

Leadership

Provides technical leadership and takes initiative in design discussions to drive quality, standards and performance.

Understands how data availability impacts other teams and departments

Supports the creation of new roles and JDs based on team needs and their own experience.

Knowledge Transfer

Actively shares knowledge through peer mentoring.

Lifts the skills and expertise of those around them through one-on-one reviews and championing teach-outs on industry standard practices

The experience we need...

3-4 years of experience in data analytics

Data Warehousing - Architect and design a solution for Cloud and on-premise data warehouse

Programming Languages - Language Agnostic (Java, SQL, Python, C#, Scala, PL/SQL)

Cloud - Proficient in basic Cloud concepts and architecture. Experience working in Snowflake in an Azure. Data transformation, data modelling, Virtual warehouse and data sharing

Data Modelling - Understand basic concepts from star schema, snowflake, normalization and denormalization. Experience working on diverse data subject areas, able to design and implement a schema with concepts such as foreign keys and well-designed fact / dimensions.

ETL/ELT - Proficient in complex data movements, including rollback strategies, bad record handling, and optimizations for performance and speed.

Analytic Skillsets - Design and implement the new cube and analytic layer for self-serve

Design the reports and using BI tools
