Position: Data Analyst

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join a dynamic nonprofit organization. This role focuses on managing, analyzing, and reporting on donor and program data to support fundraising, program evaluation, and organizational strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in a mission-driven environment, is proficient in donor management systems, and can transform complex data into actionable insights. Previous experience working in a nonprofit setting is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, clean, and analyze data from Raiser's Edge or equivalent donor management systems to support fundraising and program initiatives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate trends, performance metrics, and donor engagement insights.
- Collaborate with program and fundraising teams to identify data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
- Monitor data quality and implement processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Support fundraising campaigns by analyzing donor behavior, segmentation, and trends.
- Assist leadership with evidence-based recommendations for strategic planning.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising environment.
- Hands-on experience with Raiser's Edge or similar donor management systems.
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization is an asset.
