About the team
The Central Analytics team is the companywide source of truth for management reporting and KPI definitions. The team builds and operates dashboards, datasets, and recurring processes that enable data driven decisions across Marketing, Product, Finance, and Strategy. This full time position is located in Toronto.
Role summary
This role will own the operational KPI reporting of the AutoTrader Canada Marketplace business while establishing and implementing best practices for reporting Core KPIs. The person will act as the interface between business stakeholders across the board and the technical teams that build the underlying data models. They will also serve as the Central Analytics subject matter expert for Marketing Analytics, partnering closely with the AS24 Marketing Analytics team on shared reporting, measurement frameworks, and analytical deep dives.
Key responsibilities
Establish and implement best practices for Core KPI reporting for AutoTrader Canada Marketplace, including governance, change management, lineage, and observability.
Act as the single point of accountability for Core KPI definitions, sources, and the published source of truth, and coordinate cross functional alignment across business stakeholders, legal, and operations.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data modelling teams, ensuring semantic models reflect agreed definitions and sources.
Own delivery of data products that report Core KPIs, including datasets, ETL/ELT pipelines, semantic layers, dashboards, and automated reports.
Serve as the interface between business stakeholders and data engineers, tracking experts, and platform teams to ensure correct instrumentation, campaign structures, and UTM standards.
Be the Central Analytics subject matter expert in Marketing Analytics: advise on marketing concepts, campaign measurement, attribution, experiment design, and appropriate KPIs.
Collaborate with the AS24 Marketing Analytics team to align measurement approaches, share best practices, and co own cross company marketing analyses and deep dives.
Conduct deep dive analyses and driver work to diagnose performance, quantify levers, and produce clear recommendations for product, marketing, and commercial teams.
Produce executive quality storytelling and present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders, tailoring communications to business and technical audiences.
Define and maintain documentation, playbooks, and runbooks that enable consistent application of KPI standards and support self service analytics.
You come with
A degree in marketing analytics, economics, data science, statistics, or a related field, with several years of experience in marketing analytics, growth analytics, digital marketing measurement, or data driven consulting. o Proven experience owning KPI definitions, governance, and end to end reporting in a marketplace or B2C environment.
Strong domain knowledge of marketing analytics, campaign measurement, attribution, and lifecycle metrics.
Evidence of acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into data models and production reports.
Hands on expertise in SQL and analytic engineering tools such as dbt and orchestration tools.
Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
Significant experience building semantic models and dashboards in BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight or Tableau, with an emphasis on data storytelling.
Practical experience in instrumentation governance, UTM conventions, and working with tracking specialists or MMPs.
Ability to design and evaluate experiments, incrementality tests, or uplift studies.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience presenting to senior and executive audiences.
Fluency in English.
The
base salary range
for this position is
CAD $90k - $120k.
This range reflects the expected compensation at the time of posting. The final offer may vary and can be higher based on relevant skills, experience, location, and market conditions. Based on the role the total rewards package may also include benefits, bonus, and other employee offerings.
