About Us:

In House Performing Arts is a vibrant and growing dance studio in Summerland, British Columbia--a beautiful, family-friendly community nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Our mission is to fuel passion and technical excellence in dance and performance. We train triple-threat performers (dance, singing, and acting) and are committed to helping our students thrive in both skill and confidence.

We're currently looking for a passionate and versatile

part-time Dance Instructor

to join our team and inspire the next generation of young performers.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be able to teach students ages 5-18 in a variety of styles, including

Acro, Hip Hop, Tap, and Jazz

. While we prefer applicants skilled in all four, we welcome strong candidates proficient in at least three of these disciplines.

Dance Season & Schedule:

The regular dance season runs from

mid-September through the end of June

Two-week break over the Christmas holidays Two-week March break; opportunity to assist or lead a 1-week dance camp (optional for part-time staff)

Summer (July & August):

Opportunities available to teach 1-week dance camps or coach solos/duos on a flexible, part-time basis

Key Responsibilities:

Teach weekly group dance classes for ages 4-18 Choreograph pieces for performances, recitals, and competitions Create a supportive and technically focused studio environment Collaborate with a professional, motivated teaching team Mentor and inspire dancers to grow as artists and individuals

Qualifications:

2-3+ years of teaching experience Proficient in at least

three of the following:

Acro, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz Strong technical background and understanding of age-appropriate progressions Energetic, professional, and a team player Comfortable teaching a variety of skill levels Evening and some weekend availability Certification in Acrobatic Arts, ADAPT, CDTA, or similar (asset, not required)
