Closing Date: August 2nd, 2024, at 4:30 pmPURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Reporting directly to the Recreation Programmer, the Dance Instructor provides instruction, leadership, and administration for the City\xe2\x80\x99s dance programs.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the safety and supervision of the participants and for ensuring the rules and regulations set out by the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department and/or outside organizations are followed.
  • Represent the City with professionalism by following all of the Staff Policies and Procedures set out by the Department.
  • Must be knowledgeable of City Programs and have strong public relation skills.
  • Responsible for providing instruction and leadership for designated fitness program.
  • Responsible for on-going evaluations and feedback of the programs to the Program Supervisor.
  • Responsible for the completion of attendance and any required paperwork to effectively administrate this program as per the Department Procedures.
  • Assume the responsibility for assessing and responding in an emergency situation and completing the necessary reports.
  • Attend all Training and staff meetings as scheduled and keep required certifications current.

  • High School Diploma, at minimum
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR \'C\' Certification from a WSIB recognized organization.
  • Previous dance experience
