Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages through engaging dance classes. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching skills, a love for dance, and the ability to create a positive learning environment. This role involves instructing students, developing lesson plans, and fostering a love for movement and self-expression. Prior experience working with children and classroom management is highly valued. The Dance Instructor will contribute to our vibrant community by promoting creativity, confidence, and physical activity through dance education.

Responsibilities



Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels Create a supportive and motivating environment that encourages student participation and growth Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help improve their technique Prepare instructional materials and demonstrate dance routines effectively Maintain a safe space by adhering to health and safety guidelines during classes Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize performances, recitals, or community events Foster positive relationships with students and parents, communicating regularly about progress and upcoming activities

Skills



Proven experience in tutoring or teaching dance or related movement arts Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children effectively Experience working with children, especially in early childhood education settings Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques and provide feedback Creativity in lesson planning to keep classes fun, dynamic, and educational Ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels Additional skills such as cooking or other extracurricular activities are a plus but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 5 per week
