Tasks

Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals Diagnose livestock health issues Handling animals Monitoring animal health Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly Track and report on current feed inventory Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Formulate feeding program Maintain livestock performance records Maintain quality control and production records Milk cows Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Maintain work records and logs Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry Perform general farm duties Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
