Tasks

Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas Clear fields of wood and stones Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses Handling animals Monitor the calving process Monitoring animal health Organize tasks to accomplish the work Perform livestock feeding Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving Track and report on current feed inventory Treat livestock health issues Feed and tend animals Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain livestock performance records Maintain quality control and production records Milk cows Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Maintain work records and logs Perform general farm duties
