Dairy Clerk

to join the Grocery Department team at our

Dundas location

.

Duties & Responsibilities

Dairy Clerks are responsible for ensuring that the dairy section of the store is well-merchandised, stocked, and that products are fresh, rotated properly, and easily accessible for our customers. The Dairy Clerk must be committed to providing excellent customer service with a friendly demeanor and the ability to assist customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Receiving, storing, and stocking dairy products while ensuring proper rotation, freshness, and quality Creating and maintaining dairy displays, ensuring products are properly faced and merchandised Handling product damages, credits, and returns according to company policy Monitoring expiration dates and removing out-of-date products promptly Assisting customers in locating products and answering questions related to dairy items Supporting inventory management and maintaining accurate stock levels Maintaining cooler cleanliness and food safety standards at all times Being a team player and supporting other store departments as needed Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention Additional duties as required
Skillset Requirements

Previous

dairy, grocery, or food industry experience

is strongly preferred Food Safety Handlers Certification is an asset Passion for food - you are a true foodie at heart! Dedication to delivering an exceptional customer experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a customer-focused mindset Effective and positive communicator with great listening skills and patience Collaborative and adaptable team player, able to support dynamic store operations Comfortable working in cooler environments and handling dairy products Able to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends, with the ability to cover shifts on short notice Tech savvy with the ability to learn our ERP and inventory ordering system High school diploma or equivalent preferred
