We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Cylinder Processor. You will be responsible for the safe preparation, inspection, and handling of gas cylinders, ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence to quality and safety standards. You will conduct regular equipment checks, maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, and contribute to the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical capability, and a commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.

As a Cylinder Handler, you will:



Assist with accurately maintaining inventory/stock levels of incoming and outgoing cylinders according to standard written procedures. Be responsible for safely prepping, storing, and maintaining cylinder gases in order to always maintain adequate inventory Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Industrial Source, and distributor standards. Examine returned cylinders for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns and properly transports cylinders from production in identified quarantined or repair area. Conduct a variety of safety checks per procedures, checking caps and valves. Remove any old labels, inspects cylinders, and cleans cylinders using approved cleaning solution while maintaining accurate labeling of cylinders. Learn the hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Inspect and verify the satisfactory performance of all equipment and tools used in this area of operation, recommend changes where necessary and actively participate in keeping the work area clean, organized, and functional. Ensure the quality and integrity of products and packages within the site and aid in material flow of items received. Ensure Innovair Group health, safety and environmental policies are understood and adhered to. Maintain a level of training in accordance with the requirements of the job to ensure adequate safety, quality and environmental impact and efficiencies including emergency preparedness for the products handled. Perform other duties as assigned. Have your Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a chemical handling role. Have a valid Class 5 Manitoba licence with air endorsement, with a clear driving abstract. Be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 75 lbs, as well as confident maneuvering equipment up to 1500 lbs (with proper lifting/pushing apparatus and techniques). Be comfortable with handheld scanning technology, and familiar with the Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
