Job Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive threat modeling to identify and analyze potential security threats and risks in applications, software systems, and digital infrastructure. Leverage threat modeling tools to automate workflows, generate threat libraries, and track mitigation progress. Assess application architectures for vulnerabilities and recommend effective security mitigations. Provide on-demand support to development teams for threat modeling and secure design reviews. Collaborate with application teams to complete threat models across diverse platforms (web, mobile, APIs, databases). Research emerging threats and integrate findings into threat models, security patterns, and architecture guidance.

Required Skills & Expertise

Hands-on experience with threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE, OCTAVE, TRIKE, and PASTA. Hands-on experience performing security assessments for applications, products, and cloud environments. Strong knowledge on application security architecture with cloud security skills. Strong ability to identify threats and vulnerabilities in application architectures. In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10 application vulnerabilities and remediation techniques. Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework for threat mapping. Basic understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and segmentation. Knowledge of security controls, standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST).

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[89,000 - 108,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.




This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
