Job Title: Cyber Security Business Analyst IV
Location: Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB (Hybrid)
Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Business Analyst IV to join their team. As a Cyber Security Business Analyst IV, you will be part of the Cybersecurity department supporting security monitoring, incident response, and network security initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between cybersecurity technical teams and application teams to enable application logging capabilities for in-scope USUI applications.
  • Support detection and design teams by validating effective security monitoring and incident response processes for USUI applications.
  • Coordinate the deployment of Network Access Controls (NAC) and Silent Defense continuous threat detection sensors across USUI IT and OT networks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security logging playbooks and dashboards to enhance cybersecurity visibility and incident response efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing security controls and workflows to improve the overall cybersecurity posture of the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity monitoring processes, including security detection and response controls aligned with NIST CSF.
  • Experience working with security monitoring tools such as Crowdstrike, Tenable Nessus, and Trellix Application Control.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating system logs and application log management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
