As a

Cutter

, you'll play a key role in our production process by accurately cutting strip rubber to specified lengths. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to quality.

Available shifts

: Mon - Fri, 7:00am - 3:00pm | Sun - Thurs, 11:00pm - 7:00am

Starting Salary

: $26.10/hour + shift premium (where applicable)

Key Responsibilities

Confirm material release from Quality Control before cutting Verify correct logo on strip rubber or print as instructed Inspect strip rubber for pinholes using air check Set and operate manual or automatic cutters to required lengths Ensure cut ends are straight and at 90 angles Perform first-off inspection with Quality Control Check and record cut length every 30 minutes Tag and place cut pieces on carts; weigh and record scrap Maintain accurate documentation of production data Follow company quality standards, policies, and safety procedures Assist with additional tasks as needed to meet production goals

Requirements

High school diploma (preferred) Previous experience in manufacturing is an asset Good written and verbal communication skills Keen attention to detail

Working Conditions

Incumbent spends almost 100% of his/her time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of light physical labour. Lifting, pulling (less than 15 lbs.), standing and walking cover the majority of the work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, and the use of light press equipment. Incumbent understands respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules & regulations which are derived from the Occupational Health & Safety Act
