Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. (Frontier) is a medium sized provider of US and Canadian Customs Services, Trade Consulting, Supply Chain Logistics, including parcel and courier delivery.

Our Winnipeg facility located in the Fort Garry Industrial Park has an opportunity for a Part Time Customs Release Agent to complete customer service and customs transactions for our clients. Attention to detail, accurate and timely data entry, ability to learn customized software programs, and ability to self-audit work and make corrections prior to completion are imperative.

We offer a hybrid work schedule upon satisfactory demonstration of attendance, and job tasks and responsibilities. We offer free parking and is also located within a 10 minute walk from the blue line rapid transit station at 310-555 Hervo Street, R3T 3L6.

Shift Requirements: Must be available for one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday, 10:00am to 6:00pm) and 1 to 2 weekday shifts. Weekly schedules may vary.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Reviewing documentation provided for customs entry processing. Identifying missing information and documents and communicating with the appropriate parties Processing release of shipments for highway, rail, air, and ocean shipments electronically. Processing, assembling and presenting paper release packages to Canada Border Services Agency Ensuring client instructions are followed. Monitoring the status of the shipments and ensuring all rejects are fixed in a timely manner. Preparing email enquiries to clients and carriers for missing information and instructions Engaging customers and carriers by phone. Responding to all incoming and outbound calls Managing receipt of email release requests and documentation Managing electronic filing of pre-rate release and invoice documents Updating tariff treatments as necessary. Communicating with other brokers or participating government agencies as needed to complete customs transactions and ensure seamless import into Canada.

Competencies & Skill sets needed:

Prior experience in a customs brokerage firms or communication with customer brokerage firms an asset. Prior office administration. Demonstrated written and verbal communication. Experience in working in a deadline driven work environment. Ability to work independently. Above average skill in Microsoft Outlook. Inbox and folder management. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills an asset. Experience in a head office setting in asset. Previous experience in transportation industry a positive asset. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or International Business an asset.
