Omnitrans is currently seeking a Customs Regulatory Processor to join our Technical & Consulting Services in Montreal or Toronto.



This person will :



Play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of post-entry adjustments. This role is responsible for triaging the shared inbox, handling complex corrections and adjustments, supporting CARM portal activities, and mentoring the post-entry adjustment processors. This role is accountable for maintaining quality control and meeting all compliance requirements for post-entry adjustments; while also ensuring permit applications are processed accurately and billing is completed within company-standard timelines.



Responsibilities:



Triage and manage the group inbox and assign post-entry adjustments appropriately. Receive and manage client complaints related to corrections and adjustments. Communicate effectively ensuring professionalism and timely resolution. Maintain oversight of post-entry adjustment requests by tracking follow-ups, confirming submissions are finalized, and verifying that all requests are appropriately actioned. Perform quality control checks on CAD adjustments before submission to CBSA. Complete complex post-entry adjustments, including SIMA appeal adjustments submitted through the CARM Client Portal. Manage CARM portal notifications for the department and monitor submission statuses. Submit one-time duty drawback claims. Process import and export permits (CITES & Global Affairs Canada). Resolve accounting discrepancies such as credit balances and re-bill requests. Ensure chargeable files are billed according to company policy. Upload supporting documentation to the CARM Client Portal. Provide training and mentoring to third party processors, elevating their ability to handle adjustments. Provide clerical and administrative support for the consulting and compliance team. Flag recurring issues and trends to management for escalation or review.

What you bring:



College degree More than 5 years of customs brokerage experience Experience with the CBSA corrections and adjustments processes Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Completion of CCS or CTCS an asset Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Bilingual (French and English)
