Job Description


Within our Operations - Customs Compliance department, you are responsible for complying with export and import requirements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.More specifically, your role consists of:

  • Periodically check our customs compliance to minimize the risk of penalties from government institutions;
  • Respond to requests from internal and external customers regarding customs compliance as well as transport partners and provide daily support to the transport and customs operations department;
  • Checking the conformity of customs entries
  • You ensure the adjustment and accuracy of customs declarations;
  • Carry out classification and maintain a database of tariff classifications in order to validate current classifications and add those of new parts;
  • Participate and initiate the improvement of current processes;
  • Participate in special company development projects;
  • Keep stakeholders informed of new developments in the sector;
  • If necessary, you have to carry out any other related task that may fall under this job.
Technical skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations;
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian and American customs procedures;
  • Good knowledge of IT tools, mainly the Office suite
  • English Intermediate-Advanced
  • Having the CCS title an asset
Non-technical skills:
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Customer, action and result oriented;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Sense of responsibility and organization;
  • Autonomy;
  • Methodical and orderly.
