OverviewAs the Customer Value Proposition Lead, you will have ownership for the assessment, design, enhancements or new development of products for your portfolio or line of business. You will also be accountable for contributing to the long-term strategic and future-state product vision and Customer Value roadmap.The Customer Value Proposition Lead, leads a team of Customer Value Proposition Analysts as they develop a deep understanding of the products, operations, business, and design perspective, and uses the understanding to bring enhancements or create new products.Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic and future-state Customer Value vision and roadmap for each portfolio, in partnership with customer experience, product management and business owners.
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities, ideas, design and proposals for product enhancement and development of the MPI Customer Value Proposition including the Basic, Extension, DVA (including specialty programs) and SRE lines of business.
  • Collect, analyze, and generate business insights from data, customer, and business user feedback to define requirements, features and end products.
  • Identify, develop and articulate through marketing initiatives, key features in products that will appeal to customers.
  • Collaborate and provide consultation to the Legislation Management team and Legal department regarding any product changes and related legislation developments and amendments.
  • Develop enhanced and new product implementation including development of customer transition plans.
  • Develop business cases and manages pilot programs and projects to evaluate proposed amendments or new MPI insurance products.
  • Partner with customer experience to develop and maintain customer journeys.
  • Responsible for the activities of a manager, including providing input into and management of the departmental budget, participation in planning, budgeting for special projects, improvement initiatives, and long-term human resources planning.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Commerce or related discipline.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  • Seven years of experience in product development, assessment and analytics, including three years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in an insurance environment is an asset.
  • Experience collaborating with or managing complex cross-departmental teams in a Lean-Agile environment an asset.
  • Advance communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Ability to quickly absorb complex, ambiguous concepts and organize them into structured requirements.
  • Solutions based thinking with the ability to break down complex concepts into understandable, smaller, and sequential deliverables.
  • Advanced organizational, time management, and project management skills.
