The Lifeguard will report to the Aquatics Supervisor and work collaboratively with other members of the YMCA team to provide a safe and fun aquatics environment.
Major Responsibilities:
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, proactive, and outcomes focused approach to delivering a 5-star customer service experience
Promote and actively sell memberships to potential members
Using POS systems, creating booking, money handling
Provide accurate and up to date program information and registrations
Be efficient, highly organized and pay close attention to detail
Strives to stay up to date with information regarding current activities, priorities, and events occurring in the facility and community
Assists in maintaining facility cleanliness
Supports high service standards and satisfaction ratings throughout the centre. Achieves all YMCA quality management targets
Ensures compliance with all provincial, regional and national YMCA initiatives
Participates in staff meetings as required
Actively contributes to a positive and healthy team environment
Qualification-
you bring
:
A minimum of grade 12 diploma or equivalent, additional vocational training will be considered an asset.
A combination of experience and training related to customer service
Maintain a satisfactory criminal record check and clear vulnerable sector search
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to complete.
Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date
